JEREMY TORRES, 17

Jeremy Torres, from Puerto Rico, is a senior at Rosalina C Martinez High School. He was a Boy Scout and participates in the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA), a program that helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions (FBLA Competitive Events), leadership development, and educational programs.

There are some things in the world that are just seem wrong to Torres. Why is there so much violence? Torres would like to change people’s violent behavior because violence is unproductive and does not lead anywhere. Poor economic opportunities is the second thing that Torres would like to change. Economic growth and independence would directly affect and perhaps eliminate poverty, which affects so many people around the world. Torres says that nobody deserves to starve to death and his mind tells him over and over again, that this needs to change.

These issues must change in the world because for Torres, problems like this should not bother humanity anymore.
